Atrion Regulatory Authoring Services
Our Quality Standards
Atrion is committed to providing the highest quality
MSDS and labels. Preparing compliant MSDS and labels is a serious
responsibility. These documents are often the only source of
information on hazardous materials in the workplace. Employers,
employees and emergency responders rely on them for guidance on
chemical hazards, protective equipment and what to do or not to do in
case of emergency.
In order to meet this essential responsibility, Atrion has established
a stringent quality policy based on 7 principles:
- Close cooperation with customers
Accurate information is a key factor in writing high quality MSDSs.
Atrion commits to work in close cooperation and constant dialogue
with all its customers.
- Validation policy
The slightest error in chemical classification can lead to severe or
fatal occurrences such as fires, explosions, poisoning or cancer. All
Atrion MSDS's and labels are reviewed and validated by a Senior Chemist
(Ph. D.) before publishing.
- Clear language, legibility
MSDSs and labels are meant to be read, faxed or used in adverse or
hostile conditions. That’s why Atrion will only release complete,
clear and legible documents, including page layout, wording, spelling,
font size and colors.
- Local language adaptation - localization
The prevention of chemical hazards will only be effective if clearly
understood, that’s why at Atrion we believe that workers should
be provided MSDS, and labels in their own language. Atrion will only
publish professionally translated documents reviewed by translators
with qualifications in chemistry, industrial hygiene and regulations.
- Compliance with local regulations
Chemical regulations are different among countries and continents.
Atrion’s experts work by the assumption that that workers and
employers deserve MSDS and labels that comply with the regulations of
their countries, not just language translations of US or EU documents.
- Data accuracy and continuous regulatory research
Valid MSDSs and labels must comply with the latest changes in chemical
classification and regulations, Atrion’s document management
procedure includes continuous regulatory monitoring for data accuracy
and real time document updating.
- Safety, confidentiality
Atrion considers it our primary responsibility to protect our
customers’ documents and formulations. That’s why
Atrion’s privacy policy includes elements such as the signature
of non-disclosure agreements, data storage on a high performance
server, daily tape backups and firewall protection.
