Sue Barton, Senior Regulatory Analyst

sue-barton-80x100Barton has over twenty years experience in the regulations arena.  She plays a key role in Atrion’s research and development interpreting regulations, developing customizations for customers and contributing to supporting solutions such as Atrion’s Auditing and Rules Editor.  Barton works extensively with Atrion’s user community and plays a prominent role with the Atrion Task Forces and User Groups.

Barton came to Atrion through the acquisition of ChemWare, a producer and marketer of Safety Data Sheets.  Before that she was an independent consultant working with the publication of the DPD and SDS directives. Prior to that, Barton spent ten years with British Petroluem on commercial and scientific applications. The first part of her career was spent with IT manufacturers working on operating system software and developing an interest in application software.

Barton holds a Computer Science degree from the University of Lancaster.

Mark Blainey, Senior Regulatory Analyst

mark-blainey-80x100Blainey has been involved in EU Chemicals legislation for over 13 years and is considered one of the foremost authorities on REACH legislation.  He is widely published and his work experience includes the development of REACH from its inception to agreement, as well as the myriad of guidance documents, reviews of the REACH Annexes and contributions to the European Commission’s CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) Regulation proposal.

Prior to joining Atrion, Blainey served as Director at the Policy Analysis and Chemical Evaluation (PACE) SPRL, a consultancy expert in EU chemical policy.  He has held the positions of Policy Coordinator (REACH) and Policy Officer with the European Commission and has served as Senior Executive Officer and Her Majesties Inspector of Health and Safety at the Health and Safety Executive.

Blainey earned his BSc Biochemistry with toxicology from Surrey University and a Post Graduate diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from the Aston Business School.  He also holds an MSc in Environmental Toxicology from the University of Central Lancashire.

Mary Rudolph, Senior Manager, Global Content

mary-rudolph-80x100Rudolph has over 25 years of international EHS experience, including technical and business implementations of authoring services which provide her an in-depth and often sought after understanding of the needs of global EHS departments.
In her career, Rudolph also managed the development of EHS-related databases, including  RTECS®, a recognized toxicology database.

Helping companies manage costs while maintaining compliance is a key strength of Rudolph’s which she has honed as manager of Atrion’s Global Regulatory staff.

She is an active member of SCHC (Society for Chemical Hazard Communication) and a member of the ANSI Standard Canvas Review Group for ANSI Z400 and ANSI 129 standards.

Rudolph has a degree in Biology and Chemistry from Murray State University.

Francis Trudeau, Product Manager

francis-trudeau-80x100With over twelve years working with compliance, Trudeau has significant experience in IT, regulations and industry guidelines enforced around the globe.

Throughout his tenure at Atrion, he has worked on several projects aimed at providing integrated software and data solutions, which address legal compliance challenges of Environmental, Health and Safety professionals and the implementation of regulations in databases and software applications.

Trudeau engages with multi-disciplinary teams and is involved in the process of “solutions building”.  His main role is to facilitate collaboration amongst Atrion experts and the users community ensuring that appropriate solutions are built which successfully address today’s product compliance challenges.

Trudeau holds a Masters degree in analytical chemistry from l’Université de Montréal.
