"Practical Guidance on Implementing REACH & GHS”
Past Events (locations & dates)London, UK – 18 March 2009 Who Attended?EH&S, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain Managers and IT professionals directly involved with Regulatory/Product compliance. Why They Attended?
Roadshow AgendaOver the past 2 years many discussions have centered around the REACH IT infrastructure and the so-called "Big Picture" that companies could implement in order to cope with the full blend of regulatory and supply chain driven business requirements emerging from REACH. However, the big players dominated these CEFIC working groups and task forces. In this seminar Atrion will focus on the needs of mid-market formulating companies in the chemical process industry such as; paint, coatings and inks, adhesives, and soap & detergents.
Despite the fact that the UN’s Globally Harmonized System (GHS) was designed to provide harmonization and thus ‘ease the compliance burden’, chemical manufacturers around the world are grappling with its application in their own unique political and business environments in order to keep a competitive advantage. In this seminar series, Atrion will review a "flexible approach" for managing internal activities related to GHS including: understanding the new regulation, assessing obligations and revising the classification of each product. FeedbackParticipants of Atrion’s Product Compliance Roadshow tour enjoyed the advantages of a intuitive half-day agenda carefully crafted in order to, focus on local regulatory compliance objectives compiled by industry. Hosted around the world, these seminars brought together EHS and IT experts in both the process and discrete manufacturing industries.
Since these Road Shows were such a success, Atrion intends to continue to offer these forums in 2010, and would therefore like to invite future attendees to provide us with their feedback on topics as well as suggested dates and locations.
