How many regulatory lists do you support?

Atrion has over 270 regulatory lists.  However be careful when using this number as a comparison point.  Some companies claim to have over 1200 lists. The real question is:  how is this possible?  The answer, its all about how one defines the word “list”.  Some companies count each type of data on a list as being a list in itself, whereas Atrion defines a regulatory list as a list of substances that have the same source.  For example the ACGIH Threshold Limit Value list contains many data points such as, Time Waited Averages, Short Term Exposure Limit, Ceiling, Carcinogen, sensitization and skin notes.  Some companies count this as 6 lists.  At Atrion we count it as 1,  this facilitates searching and viewing of the information.   An overview of the extensive coverage we provide can be found here.    For more details or for specific enquiries, contact us and we will be happy to respond to you.

What does it mean when you say Atrion covers 44 languages?

Many regulations are published in different languages.  Atrion delivers product compliance solutions for the EH&S field on a global basis.  In order to provide these solutions we leverage a network of language validators worldwide who specialize in the EH&S field.  Therefore we have translated phrases, substance names and other information to support the needs of our customers to produce regulatory documentation.  This information is also made available to you through RegDBOnline™.

What kind of pricing do you offer?

RegDBOnline™ is available for a single user, multi-user or corporate wide license.  It is a cost-effective way to reduce time and effort of your regulatory team and gain access to high quality regulatory data.  For specific pricing, please contact us.

How often is the data updated?

RegDBOnline™ is updated on a quarterly basis.  At Atrion we are constantly monitoring our regulatory sources and the information is updated as it changes.  We are also constantly evolving the number of lists that we cover adding new regulatory content with each update.

What do you mean when you say you add ‘value’ to the data?

When regulatory authorities publish information, it is not always in the same format with the same identifiers.  For example, some lists are published without a CAS# reference.  At Atrion we add value by filling in some of the information that you as a consumer of regulatory information would need.  This enables better searching and better overall quality of your research.

We also have Regulatory User Groups that are comprised of our customers who represent some of the largest global companies in the field.  We leverage their input and knowledge to make additional determinations such as chemical groupings.  However it is important to note that every piece of data that is added by Atrion is labeled as such so that you are always aware of where the data is coming from.
