Mr. Lavoie has built a successful
career in sales and marketing, both as a business owner and as a senior
executive with international organizations. As an entrepreneur,
Mr. Lavoie created and marketed a successful franchise business in
the auto aftermarket, which was then sold to a major competitor.
Turning his attention to the ERP industry, Mr. Lavoie, together
with partner, Neil Hindle, completed the acquisition of a private
software company selling into the Canadian and US markets. In 1994,
they sold the company's intellectual property rights to Baan Company
N.V. of Holland, and joined Baan's senior management team with segment
responsibility for worldwide business. Mr. Lavoie left Baan in 1995 to
co-found the Process Technology Group of companies, with primary
responsibility for corporate development and M&A activities.
Neil Hindle
Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Hindle spent the initial part of
his career with Coopers & Lybrand, Chartered Accountants in
Montreal where he built an expertise and client base in mid-size
entrepreneurial businesses and related tax planning and strategies.
Upon leaving C&L in 1986, Mr. Hindle held senior executive
management positions in a private Canadian wholesale distribution
business and in a publicly-traded technology development company in the
oil & gas industry. Building on his entrepreneurial experience and
expertise, Mr. Hindle, along with his partner, Patrick Lavoie,
acquired a private software company in the ERP industry. In 1994, the
intellectual property rights were sold to Baan Company N.V. (now part
of Invensys plc), and Mr. Hindle joined Baan as a member of the
senior management team. He left Baan in 1995 to co-found the Process
Technology Group of companies (PTG, a Montreal-based company with
investments in three operating companies, and Barrontech Investments
Inc., a private investment firm with primary interests in
technology-related investments and real estate.
John D. Phyper
Executive Vice President & Chief Strategic Officer
Mr. Phyper has over 20 years experience
in managing high growth companies in the EHS market. Mr. Phyper created
two successful start-ups in 1992 - Environmental Software Associates
Inc. and Phyper & Associates Inc., EHS management consultants,
which were purchased by Atrion International in 1998. Mr. Phyper has
held various positions at Atrion International including VP of
Research, VP Sales, VP Professional Services and Chief Operating
Officer. In his current role as Chief Strategy Officer, Mr. Phyper has
overall responsibility for the strategic direction of the company and
identification, assessment and preparation of recommendations to the
executive team and to the Board of Directors related to all strategic
business initiatives. Mr. Phyper’s knowledge of the EHS market is
reflected in his participation in global conferences, publications and
co-authoring of six books related to this market. Mr. Phyper has a
Masters of Applied Science and an MBA from the University of Toronto.
David Lavoie
Executive Vice President Marketing & Alliances
Mr. Lavoie joined Baan in 1994 as Vice
President of Marketing with responsibility for the international roll
out of new process modules. Following the successful Baan IPO,
Mr. Lavoie left the company to co-found Process Technology Group
with Patrick Lavoie and Neil Hindle; he occupied the position of Vice
President of Marketing. Prior to being involved in the VC and IT field,
Mr. Lavoie held senior positions in the marketing and
communications area for more than 15 years.
Robin G. Adair
Senior Vice President, International Operations
Mr. Adair has been in the IT industry
for some 35 years. Over the last 25 years he has specialized in
establishing US Software companies operations in the Global
Marketplace starting and running both Direct and Indirect Operations in
Europe, Middle East and Africa, Asia Pacific and Latin and South
America. He has carried out this mission in an innovative manner for
such companies as, Cincom Systems, Marcam Corporation, Software
Artistry, Intersolv and PSI Penta GmbH. As part of Atrion's Global
vision to supply innovative Regulatory Compliance solutions to its
customers, Mr. Adair is responsible for establishing and Managing
Atrion's Partnerships and Alliances Worldwide.
Aad van Keulen
Vice President
Mr. van Keulen started his career with
Royal Haskoning, a large consulting group in the Netherlands, where he
initiated an interdisciplinary group dedicated to "chemical
management". Following a long-term assignment with Haskoning at Akzo
Pharma, Mr. van Keulen returned to Haskoning to develop a software
group focusing on product lifecycle management and hazard
communication. In 1998, Atrion acquired Haskoning's most successful
product, "Rosetta", together with its support staff. Since then,
Mr. van Keulen has been active in sales support and content
development with Atrion International. He also introduced a highly
successful methodology that allows companies to transform global
regulatory compliance into a 'key business driver'.
Mr. van Keulen holds a M.Sc. in Biology from Leiden
University and a post-doctoral degree in toxicology from Utrecht
University.
Joe Cella
Vice President of Sales, North America
Mr. Cella is currently the Vice
President of Sales, North America for Atrion International Inc. He is
responsible for directing Atrion’s vision for delivering
innovative solutions and is focused on applying value-based
methodologies to drive sales within all North American revenue streams.
Over the 9 years he’s spent at Atrion, Joe has been a member of
the business consulting organization and served in positions in sales
management. Previously, Joe held the position of Regional Manager at
RACAN Industries, a manufacturer of engineered HVAC products and worked
as an engineer for a global leader of pharmaceuticals and healthcare
products. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec.
Enza Grassia
Vice President Research and Development
As Vice-President research and Development, Enza Grassia
provides the overall technical leadership for Atrion’s Materials
Compliance Suite of solutions and leads the development, quality
assurance and project management teams. Ms. Grassia joined Atrion
in June 2006 and brings over 25 years of management and technical
experience to the Atrion executive team. Most recently Ms. Grassia was
Vice-President technology and Operation at Accovia Inc. a leader in
travel packaging solutions leading development support and professional
services teams. Ms. Grassia was also Vice-President, Research and
Development at Optimal Payments Inc. an e-commerce company focused on
providing proprietary payment processing technology and services and
before that she served for three years as Director of Research and
Development at Logibro Inc. (now Accovia).
Denis Lefebvre
Executive Vice President
Mr. Lefebvre, brings to Atrion a strong entrepreneurial
background built over the last 22 years, specializing in building
successful professional services organizations for both private and
publicly held IT companies. Mr. Lefebvre most recently held the
post of President at Covansys, Canada where he effectively grew the
company’s revenue by successfully implementing maintenance and
software development programs. These programs helped Covansys
clients reduce their cost of ownership for maintenance and software
development. Mr. Lefebvre's understanding of global delivery of
services for different market segments is an asset in helping Atrion
grow its business internationally.
In his current role at Atrion International, Mr. Lefebvre will be
heading up both the Service Organization and Operations including
Customer Service, Professional Services and Regulatory Services where
he will be driving programs that enhance customer experience as well as
business operating systems to streamline both Atrion’s and our
Customer’s internal operations.
