On December 7, 2007, Atrion announced the availability of an integrated (M)SDS archiving and management solution using a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform, through its partnership with Actio Corporation. To maintain a technological cutting edge, Atrion is investing great efforts in the adoption of SaaS as a method of delivery for its industry-leading regulatory compliance solutions.
Atrion Inc. (the parent company of Atrion International) has filed a preliminary prospectus with the Canadian securities regulators on October 30, 2007 in connection with an offering of common shares of Atrion Inc. The date for a completion of the offering has not yet been established.

Atrion’s latest data offering for SAP EH&S environments: EH&S DataLink Dangerous Goods consists of data for UN List Substances and is an integral part of Atrion’s suite of complementary products for SAP EH&S: Compliance Suite for EH&S. The data is used for performing dangerous goods checks and for populating the transport sections of Safety Data Sheets. It reduces the time and costs associated with entering and maintaining dangerous goods data to help ensure compliance with transport legislation.

Development of a bi-directional interface between IUCLID5 (International Uniform Chemical Information Database) and Atrion's Materials Compliance Suite Intelligent Authoring® and Compliance Suite for EH&S platforms has begun. At their upcoming International User Group meeting, Atrion presented a proof-of-concept to establish the viability and highlight potential options in development.
Atrion has hosted yet another successful International User Group Conference in October — the largest in company history. Over 90 customers assembled to hear Atrion’s management, staff and experts present information on corporate vision and mission, the future of REACH and its implications on their business as well as product roadmaps, new features and improvements.
Fall Seminar Update
Over the Fall months, Atrion hosted two major events in Germany: "Implementing the 'Big Picture' for REACH" in Stuttgart, and a “IUCLID5 Introductory course” in Berlin. "Implementing the 'Big Picture' for REACH" presented the full blend of regulatory and supply chain driven business requirements emerging from REACH. The “IUCLID5 Introductory course” was given in conjunction with INFORMA’s annual REACH conference. Over 30 experts attended, representing chemical companies and consultants from EU Member States, as well as Israel, India, Australia and the US.
Latest Customer Success Story
PPG Industries Inc. and Atrion International partner to implement Global Product Stewardship System Atrion International and PPG Industries have signed a multi-year contract for Atrion's Materials Compliance solution, which becomes a technology backbone of their Global Product Stewardship (GPS) system. The GPS system will consolidate and standardize environment, health and safety (EH&S) data about products as well as the procedures for generating Material Safety Data Sheets (M)SDS, hazard label content and other regulatory documents.
