Atrion Hosts International User Group Conference, Barcelona, Spain

Montreal, Quebec, October 25, 2005 – The 2005 Atrion International Users Group (IUG) Conference drew a record number of companies to its annual meeting held in Barcelona, Spain, October 17-19, 2005. Attendees came from across Europe, North America and Asia to participate in the event, which included three days of keynotes, breakout sessions and hands-on product demos.

The conference was sponsored by the International Users Group (IUG), an independent, nonprofit organization promoting the exchange of information between users of Atrion’s Material Compliance Software Suite.

IUG 2005 was sharply focused on communication and the sharing of regulatory information. “This year's theme really carried through,” noted Patrick J. Lavoie, President & CEO of Atrion International. He went on to express the deep commitment on the part of Atrion to its’ customers and their constantly changing needs. “With so many users in attendance, and all the news from Atrion, there was a broad exchange of ideas and information.”

Francis Trudeau, Atrion’s Regulatory Manager commented that, “the IUG Conference has evolved into an excellent forum to enable users to further leverage the Atrion Materials Compliance Solution.” The conference has expanded its scope to embrace the needs of all users, as they become more complex.

During this years’ conference, the outgoing IUG Board voted on a number of important issues to its’ members and a new Board of Directors was elected. Moving forward, the new IUG Board will continue their ongoing mission of delivering high quality technical information and competitive knowledge to the Atrion User Community worldwide.
