Dynea Chemicals Oy Signs Five-Year Contract For Atrion International’s Global Materials Compliance Solution

Nijmegen, The Netherlands, March 14, 2006 – Atrion International—the leading developer of Materials Compliance Solutions—announces that Dynea Chemicals Oy has signed a 5-year contract for Atrion’s completely integrated Materials Compliance Solutions platform. The platform will enable Dynea—a global leader in providing high performance adhesion and surfacing solutions—to safely and cost-effectively manage and distribute hazardous materials’ documentation, in accordance with regulatory compliance standards. Dynea will benefit from the creation of (M)SDS for raw materials and products, labels, transport documentation, as well as the internal and external distribution of documents. The platform, which will be integrated with Dynea’s ERP system, will also support registration and reporting to local authorities.

Vesa Mäkinen, Dynea’s Group Vice President responsible for the project, says, “Global challenges and opportunities made it imperative that we establish a true global MSDS management system to improve our current and continuous management of hazard documentation. We evaluated several competitive systems in the market for corporate multilingual software tools. Atrion’s platform was selected for several reasons, including its support of all Dynea sites with hazard documentation in local languages, its coverage of regulation and legislation world wide (REACH, GHS, etc.), as well as its support for the core marketing and production processes in the company.”
