Atrion International Accelerates Global Regulatory Services Strategy with Acquisition of Kemika XXI

Montreal, Quebec, March 6, 2007 – Atrion International, the leading developer of solutions combining regulatory expertise and industry-leading technology today announced an accelerated strategy to offer customers a single-source solution enabling compliance of regulated and hazardous materials. Atrion’s recent acquisition of Kemika XXI, a well-known supplier of regulatory compliance services for chemical management, will enhance its scope of global service offerings and enable expansion to new markets.

Kemika XXI’s existing capabilities will be integrated with Atrion Regulatory Services Inc., a newly-created division, offering outsourced consulting, training and authoring services—covering a complete range of chemical, health, safety and environmental regulations.

The acquisition has allowed the former President of Kemika XXI, Dr. Luc Seguin, Ph.D, Chemist, who is also the developer of Atrion’s first product “ChemMate” to rejoin the company as Manager of Regulatory Operations. Dr. Seguin brings to Atrion a wealth of industry and regulatory experience.
