REACH Compliance for June 1, 2007 with Atrion International

Montreal, Quebec, March 7, 2007 – Atrion International, the leading developer of solutions combining regulatory expertise and industry-leading technology is offering an integrated solution for REACH compliance. Atrion has announced that their product, Intelligent Authoring® version 3.5 will be released end-March 2007, thereby addressing immediate changes and updates required by REACH on June 1, 2007. These new requirements will directly affect regulatory forms such as the Safety Data Sheet (M)SDS. Atrion is providing an automated solution in advance to update Safety Data Sheets (M) SDS, for REACH in March, thus allowing customers sufficient time for implementation, while ensuring ongoing compliance.

In addition, Intelligent Authoring® version 4.0 is scheduled for release in June 2007. It will support GHS classification and provide functionality for screening for REACH registration and offer additional enhancements for GHS. Prior to the release of IA® v.4.0, Atrion will provide REACH Annex IV and Annex V lists on its’ RegDBOnline regulatory portal. The lists will enable existing users to see exemptions to REACH registration, in advance of the June product release.
