User Groups
Atrion supports three types of independent user groups; IUG (International User Group, RUG (Regulatory User Group and TUG (Technical User Group) each with a specific function.
User Groups were established to accomplish the following:
- Keep clients aware of ever-changing regulatory demands
- Prepare and support organizations to respond to important changes in legislation
- Examine the quality and content of Atrion’s products
- Provide members with the opportunity to influence existing products and future enhancements
- Offer support on new regulations that will significantly impact compliance requirements for regulated materials worldwide
- Provide peer networking opportunities throughout the year at organized meetings and online
IUG (International User Group)
- Directs products in accordance to international regulations
- Governed by a peer-elected board of representatives
- Global meetings are held every year—all members are encouraged to attend

RUG (Regulatory User Group)
- Focused on regulatory interpretations and ongoing changes to legislation
- The RUG is a component of the IUG meetings and Regional meetings
TUG (Technical User Group)
- Ensures technology infrastructure is in place for future development
- The TUG is a component of the IUG meetings and Regional meetings
